He was predeceased by: his parents, Josiah B. Ela and Ruth W. Ela (Mark); his wife Marilyn L. Gorman (Gorman); and his brother Jack Ela. He is survived by: his sons, James Ela (Karen) of Monroe and Jay Ela (Deborah) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Michele, Jason and Shawn; and his great grandchildren, Tucker, Mason, Chloe, Owen and Cooper.
