She was predeceased by: her father James H Deacon; and her sibling Terry Bomba. She is survived by: her mother Geneva H. Deacon (Dysart); her children, Michael Benson of Waltham, Stephen Benson (Melanie) of Morrisville, VT, Brian Benson of Waltham, John Benson Jr. of Waltham and Wendy Perera (Peter) of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Christopher, Jason, Jeffrey, Jordan, Kelby, Marissa Benson, Andrew and Isabella Perera; and her siblings, Mary Pintabone, Geneva Clancy, James Deacon Jr., Ellen Patrolia and Margaret Gagner. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
She donated much of her spare time volunteering as a Tour Guide for many of the Historical Mansions and places in Lexington.
