She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Ames and Bessie Ames (Wallace); her husband Malcolm S. Cate, Jr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Secord, Harvey Ames, Jr. and David Ames.
She is survived by: her children, Judith M. Cate of Waltham, Douglas G. Cate (Sandra) of Holden and Jeffrey M. Cate (Eileen) of Brimfield; her grandchildren, Stacey LeBlanc (Jake), Ashley Cate and Mike Pham; and her great grandchildren, Harrison, Luciana, Vincent and Emilia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home (270 Main St, Watertown, MA 02472). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
