He was predeceased by : his parents, Thaddeus Burke and Mary Kate Burke (Dolan); his former life partner Sue; his sisters, Veronica, Kathleen Wilson, Joan Burke and Mary; his son-in-law Joseph Callahan of Billerica; and his pet Kelsey.

He is survived by : his wife Susan; his children, John Burke (Rick Arnaud) of Hudson, Mary Callahan of Billerica, Tom Burke (Janice) of Waltham, Susan Burke of Norwood, Jayne Marzano of Waltham, Michael Burke (Neil Gannon-Burke) of Waltham, Ted Burke of Napa, CA and David Burke (Cristina Matthews) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Billy Huber, Stephanie Cadenhead, Jaime McManus, Tommy Marzano, Jeff Marzano, Tommy Burke, Kevin Burke, Shawn Burke, Michelle Keniston, Christopher Burke, Allison Burke, Debbie Callahan, Susan Doherty and Joseph Callahan. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
