He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Lapenta and Amy Lapenta (Fortucci); and his son Marc Lapenta. He is survived by: his children, Marie Boyd of Yarmouthport, Denise Feloney (Lawrence) of Natick, Philip Lapenta (Diane) of Framingham and Leonard J. Lapenta, Jr. (Lori) of Melrose; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Lawrence, Kara, Amy, Cali and Jenna; his great grandchildren, Bryson and Hunter; and his sister Bernice Rodd. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
