We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2025, at the age of 91, Marion G. McGovern of Waltham, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Johnson and Gladys Johnson (Ziggas); her husband Walter T. McGovern, Sr.; her son Walter T. McGovern, Jr.; and her brothers, Robert, Peter and Ralph Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Judith A.'Jody'Brennan (William, Jr.) of Milford and Richard S. McGovern (Janice) of Franklin; and her grandchildren, William Brennan, III, Andrew Brennan, Emmy Demerville, James, Brian and Jason McGovern. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Joyce Funeral Home (245 Main St, Waltham, MA 02453). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Mary's Church (133 School St, Waltham, MA 02452). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (250 High St, Waltham, MA 02453).
