We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2025, at the age of 82, Merrily L. Smith of Waltham, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lydon and Dorothy Lydon (Penney); and her sister Penney Lydon. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia L. McCarthy (Richard) of Westwood, David F. Smith, Jr. (Doreen) of Greenwood Village, CO, Stephanie L. LeBlanc (Raymond) of Hopkinton and Jennifer L. Falcione (Brian) of Stoughton; her grandchildren, Merrily, Shane, Mary Kate, Kory, Michael, Jake, Kiera, Alana, Madilyn and Jillian; her stepgrandsons, Kevin and Stephen; her great grandchildren, Millie and Liam; her siblings, Sue Ellen Lydon-Daddona (Jack) of Waltham, Andrea Arnold (Robert) of Waltham and Steven Lydon (Denise) of Waltham; and her former husband Dave Smith. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joyce Funeral Home (245 Main St, Waltham, MA 02453). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Afflicted Church (880 Trapelo Rd, Waltham, MA 02452).
