He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick and Dorothy; his stepfather Americo Gramazio; his brothers, Peter Gramazio and Robert Gramazio; and his brothers-in-law, John Doherty and David Lindstrom.

He is survived by: his son Fred Schomberg; his grandson Fred Schomberg Jr.; and his sisters, Susan Johnson-Husband Robert of Montana and Dot Doherty (Vinnie Sacchetti) of Carver.
