He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Kottmann (Scott); and his parents, William Kottmann and Agnes Kottmann. He is survived by: his children, Lyn East of Auckland, Patricia Kottmann of New Bedford, Michael Kottmann of Fayetteville, NY, William Kottmann of Naples, FL, Gerard W. Kottmann, Jr. of Hopewell Junction, NY, David Kottmann of Glen Ellen, IL and John Kottmann of Stamford, CT. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham (2599 Cranberry Hwy, Wareham, MA 02571). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (94 High St, Wareham, MA 02571).
