We announce the death of Michael R. Galavotti (Wareham, Massachusetts), who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio G. and Mary E. Galavotti (Paine); and his siblings, Richard Galavotti and Elizabeth Robicheau. He is survived by: his wife Judy Galavotti (Kiernan) of Wareham; his children, Robert K. Galavotti (Lauren MacKinnon), Peter M. Galavotti, Steven H. Galavotti (Sandra (Dawson) Galavotti) and Sarah M. Frates (David); his grandchildren, Lauren Williams (Christopher), Kathryn Casteel (Alex), Christopher Galavotti (Johanna), Jennifer Baldwin (Ryan), Nicholas Galavotti, Thomas Galavotti, Lila Galavotti, Jarrod Frates, John Galavotti and Carter Frates; his siblings, Marcia Tahair and David Galavotti; and his friend Chris Decas. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Wareham (2599 Cranberry Hwy, Wareham, MA 02571). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (94 High St, Wareham, MA 02571).
