He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret E. Saunders (O'Rourke) and Daniel J. Saunders; and his siblings, Daniel J. Saunders, James K. Saunders and Mary Ann Saunders Marin.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle M. Burton (Matthew) of Kingston; his grandchildren, Andrew and Leah; his close friend Eva Abruzzese; and his sister Peggy Szuplat (Stach). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
