Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Shanks and Lillian Cardoza; and his sisters, Roberta Brown and Lila Johnson. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard, Dennis Shanks and Sally Holland; his son Jeffery Shanks; his grandson Brian Shanks; his daughter Elizabeth Shanks; and also, Amanda Ferris, Dolores, Christine Jenkins and Sheila Whitaker.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home (165 Belmont St, Brockton, MA 02301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (163 N Cary St, Brockton, MA 02302).
