He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Keefe Spain; his stepchildren, Parker and Aja; his mother Loretta Spain (Christopher Appiah) of Jackson, TN; his siblings, Alfred Spain, Jr. of Stafford, CT, Lauren Otka of Middletown, CT and Janet Schulman of Wayne, NJ.; and his friends, Lily Barry and Cynthia Brooks. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
