He was predeceased by: his son Daniel Smith; and his parents, Roland N. Smith and Ethelyn Smith (Nutting). He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Smith; his children, Gretel Smith (Paul Ewen) of Brooklyn, NY, Drummond Smith (Carlie) of Wilton, CT, Breton Smith of Cortland, NY, Brittany Saibini (Josh) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Rebecca Bowen (James) of St. Augustine, FL, Charles Smith (Christina) of Granby, MA, Matthew Smith (Rachel) of St. Augustine, FL, William Smith (Angela) of Palmer, MA, Michael Smith of Belchertown, MA, Margaret Mombrea (Noah) of Ransonville, NY and Lillian Smith of Warren, MA.; and his brother David Smith (Linda) of Batavia, NY. He is also survived by his 25 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
