He was predeceased by: his parents, Giustino Ricci and Phyllis Ricci (Marinucci); his son David J. Ricci; and his siblings, Irene Palombo, Ralph Ricci and Richard Ricci.

He is survived by: his spouse Laurena P. Ricci (Pallone); his children, Michael G. Ricci (Karen MacDonald) of Watertown, Stephen E. Ricci (Karen) of Waltham, Kenneth E. Ricci (Lucine "Lucy) and Stoneham; his grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Rachel, Joseph, Brandon, Adam, Jarod, Jessica, Nicholas and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, Brynlee, Emma, Anthony, Julian, Isla and Austin. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gene's memory may be made to the Pvt. Charles J. Shutt Detachment, 215 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
