He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter A. Forbes and Elizabeth M. Forbes (Quin); his brother Edmund J. Forbes; his parents-in-law, Charles A. and Anna P. Armstrong (Laracy); and his siblings-in-law, Angela Forbes, Claire Forbes, Sr., Charles Patricia Armstrong, DC and Charles A. Armstrong, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Forbes (Armstrong); his children, Anne Fantasia (Anthony) of Watertown, Peter Forbes (Suzanne) of Waltham, Mary Kiley (John) of Falmouth, Kathleen McNamara (James) of Clinton, John Forbes (Amy) of Clinton, Maureen Burge (Edward) of Salem and Carol MacDonald (Hugh) of Westford; his grandchildren, Jennifer Fantasia, Anthony Fantasia, Michael Fantasia (Krista), Peter Forbes, Julia Forbes, Mary Forbes, Adrian Forbes, Colin Kiley, Brendan Kiley (Madeline), Jack Kiley, Caroline Kiley, Alexandra McNamara, Austin McNamara, Jared Forbes, Jessica Forbes, Chloe Burge, Lachlan MacDonald, Malcolm MacDonald and Ainsley MacDonald; his great grandchildren, Michael Fantasia, Joseph Fantasia and Francis Kiley; and his siblings, Kevin P. Forbes of Watertown and Mary E. Forbes of Watertown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A wake was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Joyce Funeral Home (245 Main St, Waltham, MA 02453). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Patrick's Church (212 Main St, Watertown, MA 02472). A burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery (999 Belmont St, Watertown, MA 02472).
