He was predeceased by: his father John Joseph York; and his sister Mary York. He is survived by: his wife Patricia York (Ambrose); his son John J. York; his sister Carol Falvey (York); and his grandchildren, Nicole Palmer, Allison Rossi, John York (Barnstable Police Department), Matthew Dunbar, Brian Dunbar and Sean Dunbar. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
