“Bob & I worked together for many years at MITRE. Over the years, we collaborated and published our results. He was good at what he did. One year, he was scheduled to present a paper in Paris, but his daughter "scheduled" the birth of his grandchild that same week. There was no way Bob was going to miss the birth of his grandchild, so he asked me to present the paper for him. I thanked him for that one, and I thank him now for being a good friend and a worthy colleague.”

“I was a long-time colleague of Bob at the MITRE Corporation. He was a real family man: I recall him talking about his extended family, especially when he and Lonnie welcomed another grandchild.
