We announce the death of Carole A. Hughes LCSW of Wellesley, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 8, 2026. Carole will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Carole will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Carole will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Carole’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her father John Hughes. She is survived by: her mother Margaret Hughes; her daughters, Julia A. Hughes and Olivia R. H. Bogiages; and her siblings, Mary C. Hughes and John J. Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home (477 Washington St, Wellesley, MA 02482). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Chapel (885 Centre St, Newton, MA 02459).
