It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Charles Sweetser of Wellesley, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Charles William Sweetser; his stepfather Arthur Morrissey; and his brother-in-law Dr. Mark Malconian. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Esther Sweetser (Farrell); his wife Jayne Sweetser (Malconian) of Wellesley, MA; his daughters, Katie Sweetser of Wellesley, MA and Kelley (Sweetser); his son-in-law Patrick Gill of Norwell, MA; his grandchildren, Pip Sweetser, Conor and Jaynie Gill; his siblings, Diane Anderson and Mark Sweetser; and his siblings-in-law, Cyndee Sweetser, Ann Malconian, Richard Malconian and Steve Smith. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Martha's Church (30 Portland Rd, Kennebunk, ME 04043). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Webhannet Golf Club (26 Golf Club Dr, Kennebunk, ME 04043).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David's memory to the Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association (KBIA) at https://operations.daxko.com or the Animal Welfare Society of Kennebunk at https://animalwelfaresociety.org (in honor of his beloved dogs, Salty, KC, George, and Gracie).
