Eric William LaPlaca Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric William LaPlaca of Wellesley, Massachusetts, born in Franklin, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 14, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Charles LaPlaca (Chip). He is survived by : his wife Joanna LaPlaca (Bergesen); his mother Betsy LaPlaca (Crouse); his children, Jessica, Claire and Jordan; his brothers, Matt (Kerri Nelson) of Franklin and Brian (Karen Griffin) of Wrentham; his parents-in-law, Roy and Judy Bergesen of Franklin; his aunt Ellen Siddell; his siblings-in-law, Kristine LaRue (Bill) of Northbridge, Julie McCabe (Dan) of Bow, NH and David Bergesen of Charlotte, NC; and his uncle Eric. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.

Because of Eric's history playing football, he would be content to know that his tissue has been donated to the UNITE CTE Research Center at Boston University. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent there.
