With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Hutchinson Dummer (Wellesley, Massachusetts), born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 3, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jean Dummer (Hutchinson); his sister Eleanor MacIver (Dummer); and his half-brother Charles Dummer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Martha Dummer (Goodwin); his sons, David Andrew of Maryland, Steven Goodwin (Judi) of Ashland and Douglas William Dummer (Kristen) of Dover; his grandchildren, Lauren Mary, Timothy James, Andrew, William and Harry Dummer; his niece Linda Boisvert (MacIver); his nephew William MacIver; and his half-brothers, William (Robin) and Scott Dummer (Margaret).
He received NCURA's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997 in Washington, DC for his contributions to the fields of university research administration and intellectual property law.
