He is survived by: his wife Marylou; his children, Michael Cogswell (Yvonne Stace), Deborah Holland (John) and Kristin McCafferty (Paul); his grandchildren, Peter (Grace), Mikayla (Ed), Carolyn (Mike), Derek (Marissa), Leanne (Jeff), Sarah, Maggie and Paul; his great grandchildren, Casey, Teddy, Sadie and Mia; and his sister Joan Whitney-Piscitelli.
