He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Doherty (McMahon) and Charles Doherty Sr.; and his brother Charles Doherty (Joan). He is survived by: his friend Paul Dunn; and his siblings, Judith (Rich Walsh), Karen (Tom Kelly), Denise (Buzz Foye), Maureen (Bill Mucciaccio), Kevin of West Roxbury, Michael (Cathy Doherty), Daniel Doherty (Joanne), Marilyn and Richard.
