She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Gerald McGovern and Mary McGovern (Mayo); her husband Stephen Wilson of West Roxbury; her children, Mark Townsend (Tracy) of West Roxbury, Lindsey Van Dam (Mark) of Mansfield and Daniel Wilson (Katelyn) of Braintree; her grandchildren, Robert, William, Joseph, Madison, Natalie, Brendan, Jacqueline, Elizabeth and Patrick; and her siblings, Thomas McGovern of Allston, Linda Ferrari of Holbrook, Marie Cousineau of Brighton, Michael McGovern of Cape Cod and Carol Sullivan of Weymouth.
