With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John O'Hara of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred (McLean) and John; his sister Janet Reid (Michael); and his brother-in-law John Salvi. He is survived by: his wife Donna (Salvi) of West Roxbury; his children, John (Rebecca) of Watertown, Katie Cintolo (Mark) of Reading and Brian (Karen Botcheller) of Dedham; his sibling Jean Sheridan (Robert) of South Dennis; his grandchildren, Ryan of Reading, Anna of Reading and Emily Cintolo of Reading; and his siblings-in-law, Tina Surette (Ralph) of Norwood and Frank Salvi (Linda) of Walpole. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Theresa of Avila Church (2078 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
