It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Veronica Toomey of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 13, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Veronica Toomey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Toomey (Donovan). She is survived by: her sisters, Kathleen Toomey, Joanne Toomey and Patricia Norton (Michael) of West Roxbury; her siblings' children, Michael (Brenda), Joseph (Jennifer), Edward Norton (Rachel), Matthew, Kevin Toomey (Lila) and Mary Murphy (Marty); Joseph Toomey (Anne) of Belmont. She is also survived by sixteen grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Chrysostom Church (4750 Washington St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis House or Women's Lunch Place.
