He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine T. Barringer (McCluskey); and his brothers, Walter Barringer (Joan) and Paul Barringer. He is survived by: his sons, Bob Barringer (Faith) of Boxford, Brian Barringer of Sudbury and Dan Barringer (Kathy); his siblings, Richard Barringer (Martha Freeman), Helen Tanner (late Phil) and Rita Finn (late John) of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Julia, Brian, Thomasina "Thomie", Charlie, Lulu and McCluskey "Mac" Barringer; and his sibling-in-law Jean Barringer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Theresa of Avila Church (2078 Centre St, Boston, MA 02132).
