We bid farewell to Salem Toney of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 9, 2025 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Toney and Rahme Toney (Haddad); his siblings, Samuel "Sub", Afduke (Shamey), Sandra "Kay" (Solomon), Louis, Shahood "Shuf" and Ayoub Toney; his wife Norma Toney (Abood); and his close friend Priscilla Deban.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Lucas Dreyer (Kati), Paul Dreyer (Samantha), Paige Myatt (Chuck) and Angeli Myatt (Trevor); his great grandchildren, Brandon, Trevor, Audrey, Elyse, Addison and Lincoln Dreyer; and his cousin Sam Haddad (Connie). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
As the burial is out of state, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Salem Toney to the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Boston 21st Century Fund or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
