He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ellen M. Fern (Kearns); his parents, Caroline "Carol" Fern (Lippert) and Edward Fern; his siblings, Laura Higginson (Brian) and Joe Fern (Anna Redwine); his sisters-in-law, Regina Beaudry (Wayne), Louise Cataldo (Chris) of Walpole and Theresa Leonelli (late Paul) of Waltham; his aunt Lucille Lippert; and his siblings' children, Trevor Higginson, Kate Wisialko, Mary Fern, CeCe Fern, Gayle Cataldo, Meghan Beaudry and Paul Leonelli.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Church (1689 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
