She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Pauline Sheldon (Tompkins); her husband Raymond R. Rivers; her daughter April Kayton (Jennifer) of Chesapeake, VA; her siblings, Christopher Sheldon (late Mary Jane Sheldon), Richard Sheldon (Sue), Linda Borecki (Dan), Karen Duffy (Robert), Debra Sheldon and Diane Warren; and her grandchildren, Lucas, Leo, Molly, Addison Brunelle and Wesley Becker.
