He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Gonyea and Lyla Gonyea (Griswold); his siblings, Lorraine Pomeroy, Evelyn Amsden, Larry, Bobby and Ray Gonyea; his former wife Marie Gonyea (Palladino); and his grandson Joseph LaViolette, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda St. Onge (Steven) and Christine LaViolette (Joseph); his grandson Nicholas LaViolette of West Springfield; and his significant other Janet Richards of East Longmeadow. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
