He was predeceased by: his sister Betty Davis; and his parents, Arthur Hansen and Signe Hansen (Nystedt) of West Springfield. He is survived by: his wife Joan Hansen (Griswold); his son Steven (Denise) of Groton; his grandchildren, Kirsten and Seth Hansen; and his great grandchild Flynn Hilgeman.
