We announce the death of Elizabeth Ann Gazda of West Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her father George E. Frost; her husband Paul "Gus" Gazda; her siblings, Ann Frost, Joan Frost, Veronica Sears and Dr. Robert Frost; her brothers-in-law, Jack Sears, Peter Gazda and Jack Burke; and her niece Catherine Frost.
She is survived by: her friends, Anne O'Connor (Leary), Karen Turcotte, Anne Hart and Terri Pudlo; her daughter Maureen "Meg" Gazda; her siblings, George Frost (Clare) of East Setauket, NY and Kathy Burke of Sandwich, MA; and her siblings-in-law, Brigid Frost of West Hartford, CT, Michael Gazda (Diane) and Susan Gazda of Southwest Florida. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home (1043 Westfield St, West Springfield, MA 01089). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish (47 Pine St, West Springfield, MA 01089).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Thomas School for the Elizabeth Gazda Education Scholarship, or to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Elizabeth Gazda.
