He was predeceased by: his parents, George LaChappelle and Dorothy LaChappelle (Linnehan). He is survived by: his wife Mary LaChappelle (Marsh); his children, David, Briana LaChappelle, Katie LaChappelle and Stuart McPherson; his grandson Luke LaChappelle; his brother William LaChappelle (Carolyn); and his mother-in-law Therese Marsh. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home (1043 Westfield St, West Springfield, MA 01089). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St Thomas Church (47 Pine St, West Springfield, MA 01089). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at the St Thomas Cemetery (420 Kings Hwy, West Springfield, MA 01089).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
