He is survived by: his parents, Joseph W. Birkner and Judith M. Gregory (Bean); his children, Allison, Karen Birkner and Joseph Birkner (Aliesha); his siblings, Jeffrey Birkner, Kimberly Miner and Laura Gregory; his former wife Susan Birkner; and his grandchildren, Adriana Birkner, Jackson Gribbins, Charlotte Gribbins, McKenna Birkner, Ryleigh Malanson, Annie Gribbins and Emma Malanson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home (109 Main St, West Springfield, MA 01089).
