He was predeceased by: his stepson Owen Cahillane; and his parents, John Claffey and Eileen Claffey (Kelly). He is survived by: his wife Joan (Lynch); his daughter Nora Hurstak of Quincy, MA; his son-in-law Bob Hurstak; his granddaughter Adeline Hurstak; and his siblings, Mary Janeczek (Michael), Ann Gervais (Maurice), Ellen Mantolesky (Gary) and Jack Claffey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
