With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J Flaherty Jr. of West Springfield, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 2, 2023 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bridget T. Flaherty, (Kennedy) and Michael J. Flaherty, Sr.; his siblings, Margaret Flaherty, Mary Hogan, John Flaherty and James Flaherty; and his niece Kate Hogan.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Mary Flaherty of West Springfield and Jan Flaherty of Westfield; and his nieces and nephews, Mary Anne, Jack, Bill, Joe, Tom, Eileen, Megan and Michael. He is also survived by 15 grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in Michael's name may be made to the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club, 615 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01089.
