He is survived by: his wife Eileen Schmidt (Lacas); his son Joseph (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle), James of West Springfield, Preston (Blu) of West Springfield and Tyler Schmidt of West Springfield; his sister Dorothy Manning (Ron) of Scottsdale, AZ; and his stepgrandchildren, Josh Daigle (Trisha), Stephanie Daigle (Angela) and Allisa Daigle (Michael). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
