With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara E. Adams of Westborough, Massachusetts, born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 100. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara E. Adams to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her spouse Bertis H. Adams; her parents, Harry Goldstein and Anna Goldstein (Hoffman); her sisters, Betty Fogel (Ruth Gootkin) of Winthrop and Detroit; and her stepson Bertis H. Adams III (Woody).

She is survived by : her children, Lois J. Shaevel (William) of Jamaica Plain and Fredric D. Bloom (Rick) of Manhattan; her stepdaughter Barrie Montross (John) of Burlington, VT; her stepdaughter-in-law Ryan Adams of Norwich, VT; her grandchildren, Jordana Estner of Portland, OR, Hillary Estner (Kyle Harris) of Denver, CO, Jake Estner (Alissa Darsa) of Jamaica Plain, MA, Matthew Montross (Peggy Rost) of Portland, OR, Benjamin Montross (Kathryn) of Montpelier, VT, Michael Adams (Kristen Correnti) of McLean, VA, Tony Adams (Jackie Lin) of Hong Kong and Josh Adams (Amanda Vinson) of Orinda, CA.; and her great grandchildren, Phoenix Estner-Harris, Aurora Darsa, James, William, Robert, Thomas, Helen, Eleanor, Margaret, Luke and Philip Adams. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at 117 E Main St, Westborough, MA 01581. Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Home of Lois and Bill Shaevel (241 Perkins St, Boston, MA 02130).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to Congregation B'Nai Shalom, 117 East Main St., Westborough, MA 01581 or to the Talking Book Library, 3 Salem St., Worcester, MA 01608, which provided Barbara with countless hours of listening pleasure when she was no longer able to read her precious books.
