Max leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Max’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Joseph Kreiger, Jr. and Helen Elizabeth Kreiger; his brother David; and his friends, William "Billy" Dutko, Leo J. Labonte, Jr. and R. Bruce Fitzgerald.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelby Elizabeth Kreiger; and his sisters, Joanne Marie Meyer of Westfield and Janet Mary Freeman of Springfield. He is also survived by his stepchildren, countless nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and so many friends.
Max often volunteered his time to neighbors in need, driving them to appointments, donating food, or simply checking in with a hello and a joke.
