He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cortis and Hildred Cortis (Palmer); his wife Jeanne L. Cortis (Goodwin); and his siblings, Stanley, Harold, Chester and Lois Losaw.
He is survived by: his sons, James E. (Carol), Bruce W. (Carolyn) and Alan F. (Gail); his siblings, Wallace of Southwick and Pearl Patino of Agawam; and his close friend Marilyn Warchol. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
