We announce the death of Sylvia R. Burnette of Westfield, Massachusetts, born in South Hadley, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband William H. Burnette; and her children, Donna Galarneau and Steven W. Burnette. She is survived by: her children, William H. Burnette, Jr. (Linda) of Westfield, Massachusetts, Diane J. Piela (Bill) of Warminster, Pennsylvania and Robert W. Burnette (Debra) of Chicopee, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Brian, Jessica, Kyle, Ryan, Andrea, Madison and Mackenzie; her stepgrandson Zachery; her great grandchildren, Olivia and Jameson; and her son-in-law Mark Galarneau.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (33 Lamb St, South Hadley, MA 01075). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the South Hadley Falls Cemetery, Cemetery.
