She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Borges and Carlos Borges; and her brothers, Charles and Joseph. She is survived by : her husband John Pestana Jr.; her daughter Patricia Pestana; her son-in-law Ward Rosenberry of North Chelmsford; her grandson William Rosenberry (Alaina Malpere Rosenberry); her great grandchildren, Vivian and Silas of Lowell; her grandson John Rosenberry (Christina Wescott Rosenberry); her great grandchild Claire of Lowell; her sisters-in-law, Mary and Rita; and her niece Teresa Zahareas of Lowell. She is also survived by grandsons.

Donations in her name may be made to any organization that promotes social justice or women's reproductive rights.
