It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilda M. Arruda of Westport, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 1, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel S. Arruda; her parents, Joseph Rosa and Mariana Rosa (Grota); and her siblings, Manuel Rosa, Eduarda Rodrigues, Jermana Rosa and Lurdes Rosa.
She is survived by: her children, Liduino "Lenny" Arruda, Lina Pedro (Joao), Maria Goncalo, Regina "Reggie" Arruda (Frank), Ana "Bella" Hager and Natalie Gomes (Manny); and her sisters, Maria Lopes, Fatima Sandavol, Anna Correia and Rosa Mello. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (1335 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery (2233 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720).
