He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Raposa and Hilda Raposa (Perreira); and his siblings, Mary Lou Dias and Manuel Raposa. He is survived by: his wife Janice Raposa (Sroczynski); his children, Doreen Pierce (Michael) of Fall River and Eli Raposa (Stacey) of Westport; his grandchildren, Ashley Silva, Jordan Farias, Eli Raposa, Jr. and Ella Raposa; his great grandchildren, Chloe and Talan; and his brother Vincent Raposa of Fall River. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
