It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lurdes B. Alves of Westport, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 8, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lurdes B. Alves to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gil Ferreira and Lidia Ferreira (Nee Massa); and her husband Ildeberto Alves. She is survived by: her children, Natercia Medrano (David) of Chicago, IL and Aurelia Mauricio (Arnold) of Westport, MA.; her grandsons, Noah, Evan and Jonathan; her siblings, Vasco Benevides (Lucia) of Ontario, Gil Ferreira, Odette Moniz (Eddie) of Naples, FL and Sid Ferreira (Daniele) of Dover, Delaware.; and her godchildren, Marcel, Britney and Phillip.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Espirito Santo Church (311 Alden St, Fall River, MA 02723).
