It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Augustus Thorndike III of Westwood, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 10, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Augusta Peabody Baker and Augustus Thorndike Jr.; his brother Theodore "Ted" Baker Thorndike; and his grandparents, Theodore, Edith Prescott Baker, Augustus and Olivia Lowell Thorndike.

He is survived by: his wife Melissa Seavy Thorndike; his siblings, Frances Prescott Thorndike and Robert Amory Thorndike; his sibling-in-law Gail; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Amory and Margaret; Poppy Gail.
