Alphonsus Ledwell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2025, at the age of 91, Alphonsus Ledwell of Weymouth, Massachusetts, born in South Boston, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Alphonsus find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Caitlin Ledwell; and his siblings, Regina Dinges, Ronald and Leo Ledwell. He is survived by: his wife Johanna T. Ledwell (Wiencko) of Weymouth; his daughter Donna Adukonis; and his sisters, Mary Durante (Ernest) of Weymouth and Leona Simonelli of Wellesley. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McDonald KeohaneFuneral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (1203 Commercial St, Weymouth, MA 02189).
