In loving memory of Bernard D. McGarry of Weymouth, Massachusetts, who departed this world on June 6, 2025 at the age of 101. Bernard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Bernard leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his wife Frances T. McGarry (O'Reilly); his children, Maureen Genack (late Charles Genack) and Daniel McGarry (late Bonnie McGarry); and his brother John J. McGarry (late Catherine McGarry). He is survived by: his children, Jean Young of Raynham, Geraldine McGarry of Weymouth and Marion McGarry of Weymouth; and his pet Cubbie. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren (plus one on the way), 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Albert the Great Church (1140 Washington St, Weymouth, MA 02189).
